**please note that "hotlinking" is illegal and cannot be tolerated**

what is hotlinking? basically its bandwidth theft, when you post a picture that links directy to a site that is not run or maintained by you (for example, if you saw an Inman picture on another site and you just posted it here using their URL....that is stealing THEIR bandwidth..they are having to pay for the bandwidth that their site is charged for each time the picture loads here)

there are some exceptions. There are photo hosting sites out there they exist for the purpose of you storing your photos and using their url to post on message boards. A couple are

http://www.photobucket.com

http://zoto.com

http://flickr.com/

those are perfectly fine to use and not seen as "hotlinking"

of course if you own your own webspace you are free to use your own url here smile.gif

to post a picture using an internet URL you simply paste the url for the picture inbetween the IMG tags. It would look something like this

http://www.yoururl.com please note in order for this to show up I had to substitute < and > for what you really use, which is [ and ] (usually found next to your P key on your key board)

You also have the option of attaching photos to your post, when you do this you are uploading the picture from your own PC to this server.

All images are set to show as thumbnails in the post which you can click to enlarge whenever you want to look at them thumbsup.gif
