Every here that someone died yesterday and you want to get a copy of the obit. But you don't know anyone living in that area and your library doesn't carry that paper and you cant figure out to how to do a search for the online paper?
Try this. Gebbie Press lists MANY naewspapers nationwide. You can go to the newspapers online edition and check their online obits. Many papers keep their archives open for a long time. However the trend is to archive the online editions and then charge to view back editions. So if you have a certain that contains many family members, check this site often.
